If you are looking to explore the incredible underwater life, our fully certified Dive Master crew members will lead you to sights unseen after equipping you with our own dive compressor – a unique feature of Tru North that allows for daily dives.

If relaxation and comfort is what you are after, Tru North features several lounge areas for you to sit or fully stretch out and rest or converse while taking in the amazing views of the surrounding scenery slowly drifting by. The sizable bimini provides a large area of escape from the sun for those who want some shade, and if you need to download a book or podcast to indulge with, our charging pods and Starlink internet keeps you connected.

Meet the resident crew onboard Tru North!

Walmar grew up boating and living along the coast of South Africa; his first week long boat trip was with his dad at the age of three. Sailing, freediving, and watersports formed part of his daily life growing up. Walmar has an active lifestyle always trying out new hobbies, in 2022 he completed his Padi divemaster certification and has recently started kite surfing.
He has ample experience in the maritime industry from when he started his career in 2009. Beginning work as a deckhand on his father’s fishing vessel, then navigating large Chemical Tankers on a worldwide itinerary and sailing mega yachts for high-profile owners in the Mediterranean and Middle East. He holds a 500t Captains license and has completed many charters in the Virgin Islands with his fiancé Tamika since April 2022.

Tamika grew up in Melkbosstrand, a small surfing town located on the west coast of South Africa and has a very close bond to the ocean. Hence after completing school she found yachting to be the perfect entry to this amazing industry.
Tamika started off her career in the Mediterranean where she worked for an American couple on a privately owned super yacht as chef/stewardess. She then saw an opportunity to improve her skills and took on working for multiple high-profile owners in the Middle East offering Silver Service Charters. Cooking has been part of her life from a young age adn she always strives for perfection. She has taken multiple culinary courses over the years including formal training at IYT where she completed the Superyacht Chef Course. She combines creativity, attention to detail, and a love of fresh ingredients to delight her guests.

Rounding out their seasoned crew is Hein, an experienced sailor, Dive Master, and renowned mixologist from Langebaan, South Africa. As your deckhand and steward, Hein will not only ensure you always have a delicious and unique cocktail to sip on while enjoying the beautiful scenery but will also create countless ocean adventures that will become lifetime memories for you and your family whether that be learning to freedive, spearfish, or surf on our new eFoil carbon boards.

Walmar and Tamika are back for their third charter season in the Virgin Islands after running a total of 35 charters. This fun and enthusiastic, yet professional crew are super excited to welcome you onboard Tru North.


Below is a taste of what to expect onboard your charter. Your private chef onboard will tailor every meal to each guests preference.

Continental Breakfast
breakfast bread (croissants, muffins, toast), assorted cereals, fresh fruits and yoghurt

Acai Smoothie Bowls
made with fresh local fruits. Topped with coconut flakes, chia seeds, granola and berries

Breakfast Pancake Stack
with various toppings available- berries, banana, nutella, chocolate sauce, honey, maple syrup etc.

Brioche French Toast
sweet or savory. Toppings or sides available – fruits, sauces and syrups, bacon etc.

Eggs benedict
English muffin halves, each topped with bacon, a poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Topped and seasoned with cayenne pepper and spring onion

Traditional Breakfast
crispy bacon, fried eggs, sliced avocado, baked beans and toast on the side

Fluffy Scrambled Eggs
served with sliced avocado, pan roasted cherry tomatoes and toast

Smoked Salmon Bagels
with cream cheese, lemon juice, peeled cucumber ribbons, capers, red onion slices and dill

Baked Denver Omelet
filled with bits of bell pepper, yellow onion and ham. Omelet squares topped with sliced avocado and chopped chives
Tuna Poké Bowls
sushi rice with fresh tuna slices, avocado cubes, cucumber slices, shredded red cabbage, radish slices, green onion and edamame beans. Served and topped with sesame seeds, pickled ginger, soya sauce and a spicy siracha mayo

Chicken Fajitas
juicy fajita seasoned chicken tossed with sautéed bell peppers and onions, served with tortillas, sour cream, pico de gallo and smashed avocado

Red Snapper
pan-seared red snapper served with a delicious mango salsa and lime wedges

Gourmet Burgers
fresh beef patties, lettuce, onion, avocado, tomato, pickles and cheese

Sticky Sesame Chicken
Tender chicken cubes tossed in a delicious honey sesame sauce served with fluffy basmati rice and oven roasted broccoli. Topped with sesame seeds, spring onion and red chili slices

Mongolian Beef Ramen
thin slices of flank steak in a sweet and tangy sauce, tossed with veggies and ramen noodles. Topped with sesame seeds and sliced green onions

Buffalo Chicken Wraps
juicy buffalo chicken layered on crunchy fresh veggies, topped with cheese and creamy dressing. Wrapped in a delicious flour tortilla

Chicken Breast
tender juicy chicken fillet slices on a bed of spiced eggplant puree, roasted carrots, topped with green harissa and parsley leaves

Cod Fillet
served on a lime coconut sauce, sweet potato puree and oven roasted baby carrots and beetroot

Salmon Fillets
flaky tender salmon fillets on a bed of smooth pea and mint puree topped with microgreens

oven-baked baby back pork ribs served with creamy coleslaw, crispy potato wedges and a bbq sauce on the side

Caprese Chicken
thin cut chicken breasts topped with fresh mozzarella cheese and sliced sweet tomato. Finished with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and fresh basil, served with garlic bread

Mahi Mahi
lemon, garlic and butter mahi mahi fillets accompanied with roasted honey glazed carrots and sauteed brussels sprouts

Additional Rate Details:
All-Inclusive rates include: Yacht, crew, provisions, full ships bar, cruising permits, and fuel. Rate does not include crew gratuity. Gratuity is customary at 15-20% of the cost of the charter.


Fabulous memories were made this week thanks to a wonderful crew!
This is my 5th charter to the BVI and the best of all five. Captain Walmar took us to the best spots and went out of his way to be the most gracious host. He even snorkeled with us - helping us find interesting fish - something none of the previous captains have done.
Perhaps, the real highlight of the trip was Tamika's cuisine. We were amazed at every meal, both with presentation and taste. We all looked forward to Hein's mixology creations too. That coconut drink is first class!!
All three crew members work so well together with the intention of pleasing their guests.
