Days are filled with turquoise water, hidden anchorages, fishing adventures, beautifully prepared meals and plenty of laughter — all shared with the warmth and hospitality that André and Magda bring from their South African home.
Their greatest pleasure is seeing guests arrive aboard Zuri3 as strangers and leave with beautiful photographs, wonderful stories and memories that feel like they were made among friends.

For André and Magda, welcoming guests aboard Zuri3 is about much more than sailing through beautiful islands. It is about sharing their love of the ocean, good food, laughter and adventure — and creating memories their guests will treasure long after they step ashore.

Originally from Langebaan on South Africa’s spectacular West Coast, André and Magda decided to exchange their regular careers for the adventure they had always dreamed about: a life at sea.

Their charter journey first took them to the British Virgin Islands before bringing them to The Bahamas, where the breathtaking Exuma Cays have become their playground. Now entering their fourth charter season, they bring together experience, genuine South African hospitality and a wonderfully relaxed approach to island life.
Chartering has truly become a family affair, with both of their children also working in the charter industry.

Joyful, energetic and rarely far from a good laugh, André brings an infectious enthusiasm to life aboard Zuri3.
An RYA Coastal Yachtmaster with Commercial Endorsement, André has logged more than 12,000 nautical miles at sea, combining extensive experience with a calm and welcoming approach at the helm.

One of André’s greatest passions is fishing, and he loves nothing more than sharing that excitement with guests — whether it is helping someone catch their first fish or celebrating the one that almost got away!
His other passion is capturing the special moments that happen throughout a charter. Behind the camera, André quietly collects photographs of the adventures, laughter, beautiful anchorages and unforgettable moments shared during the week. On departure, guests leave with these photographs as a personal collection of memories from their time aboard Zuri3.

Guests quickly come to know André for his infectious laughter, boundless energy and genuine love for what he does.

Warm, caring and passionate about hospitality, Magda believes that some of the best memories are created around a table.

An RYA Day Skipper, she is an important part of life both on deck and behind the scenes aboard Zuri3. But it is in the galley and in caring for her guests that Magda’s passion truly comes alive.

She loves introducing guests to unique South African flavours, combining them with fresh ingredients and the relaxed tropical character of The Bahamas. Beautiful presentation is an essential part of every meal, with each plate prepared to look every bit as inviting as it tastes.
Yet guests often remember just as fondly the feeling Magda creates aboard Zuri3. Her warm kindness, personal attention and natural hospitality create a relaxed, homely atmosphere where guests can truly unwind.

Whether she is preparing a beautifully presented dinner, arranging something special for a celebration or simply making sure everyone is comfortable and happy, Magda puts her heart into the details.
