What’s Included in an All-Inclusive Yacht Charter?

What does All Inclusive actually mean when it comes to chartering a yacht?

Let’s break it down so you know exactly what to expect (and what not to worry about) when you book this kind of trip.

the yacht

First things first, your private floating hotel. Most all-inclusive charters in the BVI are on luxury catamarans, known for their spaciousness, stability, and comfort. These yachts usually come with:

  • Private guest cabins with en-suite bathrooms

  • Indoor and outdoor lounging areas

  • Onboard Wifi

  • Air conditioning (a big plus in the Caribbean heat)

  • Water toys like paddleboards, snorkeling gear, and sometimes e-foils and sea scooters

  • A professional crew (typically a captain and a chef, sometimes a stewardess as well)

the crew

Your crew isn’t just there to sail the boat, they’re your hosts for the week, and they go above and beyond to make sure your vacation is relaxing and personalized. Here’s what they handle:

  • Sailing and navigating so you can kick back and relax

  • All your meals and drinks, prepared fresh and tailored to your preferences

  • Daily housekeeping (yes, they make your bed!)

  • Planning the itinerary based on your vibe whether that’s adventure, beach bars, or secluded anchorages

You don’t have to lift a finger.

meals & drinks

This is a big one because yes, all of your meals are included. Your chef will customize a menu based on your preferences and dietary needs, and the food is honestly one of the best parts of a charter.

What’s typically included:

  • Three meals a day, plus snacks. Your private chef will serve breakfast, lunch, sundowner snacks and a three course dinner (including dessert) daily! You are also welcome to dine ashore at anytime however that cost will be additional.

  • Open bar including beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, sodas, juices, and water. You will tell your crew the brands and types of alcohol you prefer and they will do their best to stock the bar accordingly.

  • Specialty requests, like certain brands of wine or champagne, can often be accommodated ahead of time

You’ll fill out a preference sheet before your charter so the crew knows what you like (and what you don’t).

activities & water toys

The Caribbean is made for exploring by land and sea. Your yacht will come stocked with toys so you can play all day:

  • Snorkeling gear for checking out reefs and turtles

  • Paddleboards, kayaks, wakeboard and water skiis

  • Floaties and beach games

  • Some yachts also have scuba diving gear, subwings, E-Foil boards and underwater scooters (just ask!)

Plus, your crew can help arrange things like diving excursions, island tours, or spa treatments if you want to add a little something extra.

taxes & fees

In most cases, the charter rate also includes:

  • Customs and immigration fees for cruising in the BVI

  • Mooring ball and anchorage fees

  • Fuel for the yacht and tender

There are usually no surprise charges, but it’s always a good idea to confirm exactly what’s included with your broker or crew.

what's not included

Even though it’s called all-inclusive, there are a few things that may be extra, depending on the yacht:

  • Gratuity for the crew – This is customary and typically 15–20% of the charter rate, handed over at the end of the trip.

  • Specialty wines or liquors – If you have very specific requests, those might be added to the cost.

  • Premium excursions – Like onshore excursions arranged through third parties.

ready to sail?

An all-inclusive yacht charter is like staying at a private, floating luxury resort—with personalized service, unbeatable views, and the freedom to explore at your own pace. It’s hard to beat that combination.
